I have an Onyx firewire mixer. I want to hook the mixer up to the computer without using the firewire. How would i go about doing this. I am running windows 9.1 with a tower. I took RCA cables with a 1/4 inch adapter and put it in two of the lines from the back of the computer (speaker, into the soundcard). Two, i took from the back of the computer (microphone) and put that in tape out. I am using stuido 1 DAW and it reads the mixer but will not select it due to hardware config in the audio setup. Any ideas?
