Hello I am a working DJ. I use the audio box usb to record DJ mixes that I play on turntables.
It worked for awhile, and then I started getting a horrible gurgling sound in my mixes. So, I decided to buy a new USB cable. Only to discover that when I use the new USB cable, I googled the exact one that shipped with the unit, the sound quality is even poorer.
Now, my mixes are not just unlistenable, but, flat out offensive. They sound shrill, crackly, and awful.
Running Mac OS X 10.9.5
Processor 2.4 Ghz Intel Core i5
Memory 8 GB 1067 MhZ DDR3
Startup disk Macintosh HD
It all worked fine until a few months ago. I've recorded many mixes, hundreds without problem.
I've already uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers.
I've played with the latency.
Doesn't make any sense to me, unless the device itself needs repaired.
