Changing Default Note Inputs for Impact XT? (SO4)

Hi all, I recently picked up a Maschine MkIII and was hoping I'd be able to use it as a MIDI device to trigger samples in Impact XT (still learning Maschine software, but that's for another website...).  Anyway, I found that I can assign each pad in Impact XT to a different note for the input (C1, C#1, etc.) but it doesn't change the note inputs for the other Impact presets.  Since Native Instruments obviously has a default note configuration than each of the Impact XT presets (and I have also noticed that the note assignments aren't even uniform in different presets of Impact), is it possible to change the default note mapping in Impact XT so that I don't have to go in and do this mapping for every instrument?

Side question, will this problem still exist once ATOM drops?  Or will ATOM users have to change note inputs for each pad/sample as well?

Thanks in advance for your answers!
