Could you provide more details around your track and bus configuration?  It's hard to tell what you have and what you are trying to do.

If you only want to hear audio assigned to a given bus, solo that bus.

But you said, "bus assigned to the tracks".  That sounds kind of backwards.  You route one or more tracks TO a bus which is then routed to your hardware outputs.
