Is it possible to disable the motor of the latest FaderPort?

I'm looking to buy a single fader controller, and the FaderPort seems to be a good option thusfar.

Would it be possible to retain all the fader functionalty whilst turning off the motor?

Unfortunately there is no way to disable the motor fader.
