I am planning on buying a Faderport 8 next month. I understand that 'Artist is included' as per all the retail sites.
I asked support if I can purchase an artist V3 to professional upgrade serial now from a 3rd party seller on Black Friday, and then use it after I buy the Faderport 8 to upgrade the Artist version that comes with the Faderport 8. The answer I was given was that I must have a serial on my Presonus account to upgrade through the website - which totally misses the point. I asked what version comes with the Faderport 8 to try and be sure it's not V2 etc but had no reply.
Sooooo will I be safe if I buy an upgrade from Artist V3 to Professional V3 to use once I received the Faderport 8 next month. It will be cheaper this way!! In other words - is it definitely an unrestricted Studio One V3 Artist that comes with the Faderport 8?
