When I plug my Studio 6|8 USB into a Windows 10 Pro computer, I receive a "Device Descriptor Request Failed" error, and the Studio 6|8 USB LED remains red instead of turning green.  In device manager, the Studio 6|8 is listed under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" as "Unknown USB Device".  In the Registry Editor USB entry which is created on plugging the device in, the device parameter name is listed as "SymbolicName" rather than being a name assigned by Presonos.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled "UniversalControl" repeatedly.  I am using UniversalControl_v3_0_0_51747.  I have tried brand new USB cables, as well as externally powered USB hubs.  I have the same problem on two different computers.

Please assist with guidance on getting my computers to recognize my Studio 6|8.  If I knew what name to enter into the "SymbolicName" in the registry, as well as what value to put, that might solve the problem.  If someone has a functioning Presonos 6|8 on a Windows computer, I could guide them through how to find the proper entry in the registry in order to provide me the values listed in registry for a working unit.  Then again, this might just be another unsuccessful attempt to solve the problem, and I will just await advice.

I'm having the exact same problem. Did you ever get it working?
