Question

It would be great if I could automate the new Input Gain feature. My music has lots of subtle dynamics and I currently automate the gain knob in Mixtool up or down a few db's to get what I want. I should be able to get the same results without having to add a plugin by fiddling with the Input Gain. Maybe Input Gain can be automated but so far have not been able to figure it out.

I’m sure someone from Presonus will chime in officially but I’m pretty sure that’s not possible due to a limitation in the audio engine.

My guess is they intended this to dial in sources calibrated differently like analog pres or super hot output VSTs. What you’re talking about they probably still intend for you to handle with volume automation and mixtool if it’s pre FX
