The pattern editor is a great idea but way too limited at the moment. The Paint tool is badly needed for instance, so that one can draw straight lines in e.g the velocity lane, or can use the very handy Transform tools to scale a bunch of velocity values or create fades. The tools already exist so this shouldn't be too hard or time-consuming to implement them in the pattern editor in a future update should it?
