As you create a song and add takes, new files (wav & peak) are created for every occurrence. It would be beneficial to be able to purge all these files leaving only the latest version once a song is mixed down. I don't see any way to do this other than by going into file manager and manually selecting the individual files. Obviously, if you keep a large number of songs on your system, these unnecessary files can occupy quite a bit of disk space.
