I'm looking into getting HD650 and use them for mixing with my Audiobox iTwo. The nominal impedence of these hp is 300 ohms; the Audiobox's output is 60 mW/ch. @ 60Ω. I guess (maybe incorrectly) that at 300 ohms it will be too weak to power the HD650 well - or am I wrong?
I this is the case though, should I get a headphone preamp and plug the Audiobox into it? I'm afraid that amping the singal up twice will deterioriate quality.
What are the alternatives? Other headphones? Upgrading from iTwo?
