Question

Hello,

since couple days, my Kontakt 5 crashes when i select it in Studio One 4.

i already did everything, also deleted the kontaktdb2 and kontaktdb2lock files. but it's still crash when i select Kontakt.

i only can select Kontakt VST2 version, i can't see the AU or VST3 version of it.

Can someone please help me?

I also selected Kontakt 5 in Fruity Loops 20. and there i still can open it.

also kontakt 5 stand alone. so i think it's a Studio One problem?

I was having this problem today after not having any prior issues.  Nothing had changed as far as I know, and I spent a lot of time trying one thing and another, but finally got it to work by doing the following:

1. Close Studio One
2. Open the standalone version of Kontakt
3. Open the File menu and select Options
4. Go to the Database section of the Options window
5. Click Reset and Scan
6. After the scan is complete, close the standalone Kontakt app
7. Reopen Studio One and try loading a Kontakt instrument

It worked for me.  Good luck.
