Good morning,
My name is Alex and i'm new here (: I am a Network Engineer by trade, but i also do the sound and technology for my church. I recently was given the go ahead to purchase the Studio Live 32, new speakers, and a new amp (Which i am stoked about) We were using the 1979 peavy XR1200 with some 30 year old peavy house speakers (: moving on...
I'm also live streaming the service: With the XR1200, Any audio I needed to come from my PC/encoder, I would connect and utilize 2 regular inputs and any audio I needed to send to my PC/encoder from the mixer I utilized the Monitor outputs A/B. This allowed me to have the ability to change any settings on the mixer, gain, effects, volume and it only affect the house sound and not the stream. Then in order to adjust volume for the stream only i could use the monitor A/B knobs separately. **Now to my actual question**
What is going to be the best way to achieve this same result with the Studio Live 32?
I was able to utilize the monitor outputs last night i believe (Tired at that point) and successfully get audio into OBS, but any adjustments to the sliders, (For example the music i was currently playing and listening to on ch 31 and 32) also affected my audio levels going to the stream. Is this just the nature of how the monitors work on this model or does someone recommend using a different type of output to achieve this?
Thanks in advance guys!!
