Question

Based on your suggestion, I imported a WAV file of a complete song. The bass was strong but not overbearing. The playback and record of my tracks definitely have too much low end. Is there a way to calibrate the monitors? I've been searching, not much luck. Thanks again.

It may be the monitors, or it may be the room itself. There are monitor calibration tutorials in the Presonus Vid library and youtube. You may also want to research room treatments. If your room is problematic, you may also want to use headphone to reference your mixes while in the process.
