Hey, i can't get to understand if the Audiobox 1818vsl have onboard DSP or is just the VSL software, or maybe a hybrid type of tecnology. i really don't know but i just have to remove my VSL of my Mac cause i forgot NOT to update to EL Capitan (silly me). so i used a lot VSL for live gigs, but now i have to use logic with my 1818vsl cause well the native plugins run smother than the studio one plugins, obviously.

Well enough background... That make me think...

If personus is discontinuing development on VSL software, (i know it's because apple change something, and i blame them for that!) wouldn't you be wasting the "onboard DSP" or Hybrid Awesomeness Live FX chip, that the Audiobox Vsl Series have?

Or, are you developing something more advanced than the VSL like integrating the DSP Directly on Studio One like the Studio 192?

Or a new software that works on el capitan and it's made for live shows, like MainStage from apple or like the VSL software.

Any way, i just bought my 1818VSL And I LOVE IT!!!! i'll be updating to a Studio 192 when the time comes but for now im ok (and can afford) my 1818vsl :D

So cheers for you guys, sorry about that Apple problem. We all now that apple always want to close the door to 3th party developers.

Essentially the AudioBox 1818 VSL feature and DSP are handled thru computer processing and the software can be said to control this.

VSL is still supported under compatible operating systems.  Windows 10, OSX 10.10.5 and earlier.

The OSX and VSL situation is explained here.  Alas, when one aspect of the industry changes, so to we all.
