HI, does anyone know how to get the nanokontrol to learn CC - eg in a kontakt instrument I want to set the first few faders for du=ynamics, expression etc. I try learn CC and drag hand - nothing seems to work. The nanoK faders seems to only want to control tracks. Any help appreciated

Im on Mac, S4 pro

Korg makes a program where you can edit the CC values.

Thanks Alex, I can change the CCs in the editor and save scene which saves to the NanoK, but still Im unable in S1 to get the faders to control anything other than tracks (by defat 1-8 it would seem) Ive booted the Nano with various versions of keys held down. The knobs control panning, the faders control the track levels, bt no amount of learning CC in Kontakt changes anything.

Ive also tried using the automation tab in Kontakt but the faders aren't registering a CC in there so I cant go that way either.

I know its an S1 setting/issue as I had the same problem with an Akai controller and gave up on that and moved to the NanoK.

I wish this was simpler as its a massive time soak for something that feels lie it should be easy.Sigh..

Any other suggestions would be gratefully received

After two days of experimenting, I've now got it to work.

I have programmed all 8 faders to control different cc codes, and even got the previous/next track to function.

It boiled down to using the editor.

I think Studio One's built-in configuration of the kontrol is incomplete because none of the faders appear, but the knobs and buttons.

Also the next/previousctrack buttons weren't programmed either.

I could send you the settings file from my nano if that helps.

The only annoying thing is that I haven't yet worked out how to get the leds behind the buttons to stay on when selected.

Hi everybody finally I found it! :) I can use first fader as mod wheel, second fader as vibrato, third fader as expression etc. I want to help you. It was really simple. You dont need to assign faders, knobs or use different xml etc. :)

First we need to donwload Korg editor to select our cc numbers which we want.

After it, start nano kontrol in CC mode. Press cycle and set while plugging it into the computer.

Than open Studio One, open "Configure External Devices" if your nanokontrol is added remove it. Add as "new keyboard". If you want you can write manufacturer device name etc. Its not necessary. When you added as "new keyboard" choose Receive from "NanoKONTROL2 1 SLIDER/KNOB" and Send to "nanoKONTROL2 1 CTRL"

Than open new project. Choose one instrument what you want. Enlarge track channel and dont choose your main keyboard choose "All Inputs"

And use your nanokontrol as a CC controller :)

If you want to change you CC number of your faders, close Studio One, open Korg Kontrol Editor. Click top Left button and choose Control mode from "Cubase" to "CC". Than change CC numbers as you like. CC1 is Mod Wheel, CC21 is Vibrato, CC11 is Expression etc. After you choosing what you want, in Kontrol Editor click "communication" and "write scene data" and accept it. Close Kontrol Editor its not necesseary to save it because you saved with "write scene data". Open Studio One and dont forget, sometimes in track channel  "All inputs" changes to your main keyboard you have to check it. Enjoy! :)

Yes I think so :) Because the track channel is the same in Studio One 4.5 and 5 :) Just expand and choose All input. Please let me know if you cant do
