Help! I can't get my mixer to recognize my fire wire cable.

I'm trying to get my persons 16.4.2 mixer to connect with my firewire cable. I'm currently run Catalina 10.15.3. but it said that it wasn't available for my particular computer. Also I have a 2012 MacBook Pro 13' w/ retina display. should I get another converter with a usb c port on it? its the classic 16.4.2 without the wifi option on it.

StudioLive 16.4.2 is not supported on Catalina. Last supported OS release was Mojave 10.14.6.

You'll need to reinstall 10.14.6 on a separate partition on your Mac, and then you can install UC 1.7.6 which was the last supported version for that mixer.
