Can i purchase Studio One 4.0 but wait to upgrade until i am ready?

Can i purchase the Studio One upgrade  to most recent which is 4.6 while it is one sale .... but not activate it yet ?   

The reason i ask is because I am currently in the process of installing everything on Mac Pro (2008)  using Firestudio and Studio One 2.6

I think this should not be an issue. The license is stored in your Presonus account and you can activate it whenever you want.
