How can I fix studio one constantly freezing. I could be pulling up the mixer, playing on my midi keyboard, making a drum line with my ATOM controller or really anything at all inside of studio one and all of a sudden the screen freezes. Audio continues to play and I’m able to keep playing on my midi keyboard by my ATOM unit stops working and freezes along with my computer screen. This only happens with studio one... even if studio one freezes I can still access google chrome or twitch for example. The technicians I’ve spoke to so far haven’t provided me with a working solution. What they’ve suggested is to make sure studio one is updated to 4.6.2 which it is, make sure the ATOM drivers are up to date via universal control which they are, and to make sure my sample rate. I don’t know what they want me to do as far as checking the sample rate there’s only one sample rate that can be set at a time so I’m confused how it could be different anywhere else I checked with my audio device on my laptop and it’s operating at 48000 just the same as what it says in studio one

I got the same issue on version 5 very often, but not on version 4. My friends are all the same after updating to version 5. Freezes every time when I open Ozone9 on master bus while playing. It will continue to play still...

Same is happening to me. I realized it works fine when I don't connect my Atom. I have version 5 and haven't had these issues before. It started about a week ago.

My best answer for you is this…

I had the same issues with my board. I would turn it on and after a while it just freezes. The audio still flows but you can’t make any changes to the mix without shutting it off and restarting. After a lot of research I found an article on what the problem is. It’s your power supply inside the board. Basically what is happening is it is not sending the correct voltage to the audio Console and for that reason it freezes up.

I went online and found on full compass website they sold the PreSonus 410-PG1PWR Power Supply PCB Assembly for my StudioLive 16.4.2 for $109.95. It was super easy to install and that fixed the freezing up problem I had with my board.

After reading many articles online I’ve noticed the StudioLive boards have the same problem With freezing up issues. I hope this company will fix this issue because it seems like a running team amongst the audio boards.

I hope this is some help and a way to be able to fix your audio board without having to pack it up and send it to the company and wait For them to do the same repair you can do easily at home
