Ok I Did That But it only gives me the option to automate vol & pan on that track....Lets say I wanted to add pro eq to the track & automate the low end,It still opens up a new track to automate

Jeff, in the "on the track" automation view, you can "Add" the parameters you want to automate. I believe once you have already set a parameter for automation, it should just show in the list where you saw "Display Off." But if you don't just Add the automation. You will have a list of parameters from the track itself to "inserts" in the tracks channel, etc. So you can have any automation associated with a track actually on the track overlapping the audio/midi event.
