Why aren't crossfades working?

Hello,

I'm running the latest version of Studio One 4 on Windows 10. I have imported 10 tracks of drums from Pro Tools into a session and for some reason one snare hit is rushed in Studio One, but is not in Pro Tools. I have tried Slip Editing by making a cut before and after the snare hit in question across all drum tracks, pressing Alt X and then holding down Control & Alt. I have moved my snare hit, but there is an annoying pop right before it. So I'm trying to create a crossfade to take care of that. However, highlighting the regions in question and pressing X or Shift X doesn't seem to do anything. No crossfade and the pop is still there. There aren't even any of those little white boxes that appear at the beginning/end of a region, nor is there a white box at the top of the region where you can normally change the size of the waveform. I've tried extending the regions on either side of the hit and the problem is still there. I can't copy and paste another hit from the session because it still won't let me crossfade. I don't want to have to go back into Pro Tools and fix this one hit (the hit wasn't a problem in Pro Tools) and then reimport all the drum tracks back into Studio One. There must be a way to highlight the edit point and create a crossfade. What am I missing? Thank you.

I have the exact same problem using Studio One 5 pro w/ newest Mac software.  Hitting X or shift X does not show xfades or even the region "ears" to modify the fades.

Funny how if i select EDIT it will say "undo the xfades" which i cannot see

thank you so much
