Hello,

I am on Hackintosh with Hight Sierra.

Friday I have contracted Sphere with S1 5 Pro but in 4 days I have not been able to get it to work with my VST's, in S1 4 the show correct, but in S1 5 only native and component, if I do a scan, it finds all the VST's but places them in the blacklist (and it takes HOURS to scan).

I have double checked firewall, little snitch, etc. but nothing helps...

Any idea what I can try?

I have also send a support ticket yesterday but no answer jet, so maybe somebody here can help me... I really want to start working with S1 5, but I can't without my VST's

Thanks in advance and kind regards from Spain.

Hi.  Its a holiday weekend in America and therefore people aren't in support until, I believe, Tuesday Morning Louisiana local time zone.  (C.E.T -8?)  Add or subtract hours for your geographical location.  It could be an issue with Hackintosh.  It's an operating system emulation, so you're not getting proper support.  It could be an issue with High Sierra and compatibility.   It could be an issue with Hackintosh and the operating system on top.

I understand, but if S1 4 is working OK, I don’t think this is a Hackintosh problem

Yes, however the OS requirements for v5 are not the same as the requirements for v4.  For example, anything less than a 64-bit Windows 10 will not run Studio One v5.  When you add emulation at the OS level, well, then you're creating all kinds of compatibility issues.

Well, I still don't think Hackintosh has something to do with this... I am using Hackintoshe's for around 15 years and never had any compatibility problems, my High Sierra just runs 100% as on a real Apple machine... and the rest of S1 5 seems to be working just fin... only VST's does not apear at all... (not even the VST Folders are show'n in the plugins page) so something must be blocking these... looks like it's something from the "plugin scanner"... I have read several comments about this issue, but they all mention that a blocked internet access is the cause, but I can not find any internet blocking... maybe some hidden file???

I have also turned of "Scan at Startup" and then scanned with S1 4, and they are all there and working in S1 4, but even then if I open S1 5 (without Scanning) they are not there... opening S1 4 again, they are still all there.

I'll have to wait for Technical Dep. to get back to work... or maybe I'm lucky and somebody else knows a solution for this.

Thanks anyway, kind regards.
