Can I route stereo audio from the MacBook Pro to the 2-ch Digital Returns via AVB without connecting to FireWire?

The firmware v7784 Release Notes says "RM Mixer Digital Return now switchable between Firewire and Network input source" but I was not able to route digital audio to the RM Mixer Digital Return via AVB Network. The RM32Ai and MacBook Pro are connected via an AVB switch.
