Learning to route from 16.4.2 to MacBook Pro via Firewire

I'm trying to learn all the ins-and-outs of routing audio from a 16.4.2. to/from a MacBook Pro via Firewire, on a really simple A, B, C, D sort of approach. I've had this mixer for eons and used it without the Firewire in my broadcast setting, but it would be really helpful if I could get that aspect going.

I'm "talent," more than "tech," but need a really ground-level tutorial. Does such a thing exist?

If you are using Studio One then simply use the template for you mixer when you create a new song.

How to create a new song using a template

- Launch Studio One 3

- Select Create New Song

- In the "New Song" window select "Interface" and select your device from the options listed

A new session will be created displaying all the channels that are available from you device

You can check the inputs/outputs by selecting "Audio Input/Output" tab in the Song Setup tab.
