I worked with PT too. i just switched to S1 not so long ago. i found it real interesting for a lot of features like using VST's. i always wanted to work with "Vocaloid' the singing computer by "Yamaha corporation". Also, i work with Loopcloud and in PT, with the update to 2020.11.0 version, Loopcloud dont works fine as with the other version i was working with. S1 appears to me to be the best for my needs. i like the plugins , instruments, sampler one, impact XT, the UI, and many things. But if i have something to complain for it would be in 1st, bouncing.
I work a lot with synths and always need to bounce synths, virtual instruments to free some cpu. it tooks eternity compared to PT.
In PT sometimes it was bouncing at 100X and in S1 it's rather like 5X at best. That really slow me down and i dont like it at all. it almost convinced me to go back to PT, but i'll stick with S1 for the features above. But i'm with you all who wants S1 to bounce faster you know. Now the ball is in the camp of Presonus and they must do something to be competitive against PT.
