Hi,
I've just set up my 32S in the studio and don't want to lug it around to the odd gig. I currently use a Mackie 32s rack mount mixer for live shows. I've been looking at getting a StudioLive 32R to replace the Mackie so in the studio it can be used as a stagebox and will turn into the main mixer for gigs. We have a small setup and only require 10-12 tracks for a live show so, my question is, can I get away with a 16R as a stagebox in studio and then (using the settings from the 32S console) take it to the gigs without having to set up and reroute all the tracks for the earmix (use 4 of them) etc and use the levels and routing saved on the 32S? I know this is possible using the 32R but not sure if I can downsize the rig a bit, save some space in the rack and save a few bucks going with the 16R or if I have to go all out and have (essentially) 2 32 channel mixers?
Thank you.
