Regarding your firmware update to FP16 to enable Midi mode: it’s not quite clear how this is used as per OP request to record Midi CC while recording tracks in, for example, Cubase 10/11.
If you switch to Midi mode (2 Shift buttons) does this disable everything else eg Transport Controls? The workflow in this case is probably going to be quite clumsy - can you do a video or create a usability guide or just describe it here? Not just for Studio One, but for Cubase and the other major DAWs.
