Question

Hello, I am using a Schaller Oyster piezo pickup (Oyster S/P | Megaswitches, Preamp & Pickups | Schaller Webshop) and I hoped that it would work with Audiobox USB96. But it does not (with simply plugging the jack in Mic/Inst input). Was my assumption wrong for some reason, or am I making some mistake? Audiobox set-up with my PC and Studio One seems to work fine...

a passive piezo without a preamp is tricky, i.e. suits not all inputs.

it seems like the inst input on AudioBox has 0.5MOhm impedance, that's too low to handle a passive piezo (and we're not talking about needed gain). and yes, any piezo is not great for recording, but that's another story.

personally I'd get something like AKG C411 instead.
