I am trying to record audio thru my PreSonus Audiobox USB through Studio One Artist 2 onto my MacBook Pro and everything it seems when the Mixer knob is turned totally to Inputs, the audio sounds clear and proper, but when I turn the mixer knob even a little but close to the 12 o clock position, I'm hearing latency, static and muffled audio in the playback, even through the headphones.

I have been troubleshooting this for the past two days, reinstalling, backing up my laptop and starting from scratch, and I can't seem to come up with any solution to my problem. It is beyond frustrating and I just want to record basic audio to a backing track, simple right? I just want to find an answer to my problem and get on with my recording.

Sorry to hear you are having these issues.

  1. Have you tried raising the buffer setting in Universal Control prior to opening Studio One?
  2. Is the AudioBox directly connected to the computer or through a USB Hub? If it is on a hub, please try connecting directly to the computer via a rear USB port.
  3. If possible, temporarily install Universal Control and attach the AudioBox on a different computer to see if the issue reoccurs there.
If issue remains, please submit a support ticket.
