Question

Aparently I have somehow inadvertly turned of the 'takes to layers' option, so I would LOVE to have my takes in layers for comping. Is this option still available in version 6, since I do not see the displayed menu option.

This one can be easy to miss.  At the bottom of the screen, click the gear icon next to where it says Sync.  This will open the Record Panel.  There you can change the record mode.  Select Takes to Layers.  I hope this helps.
