Please use the macOS MIDI information that is configured in the Audio MIDI Setup. All manufacturers, models, patch lists, device properties, wiring etc. This has been a basic element of the Mac operating system since the early days of OS X. Prior to AMS its predecessors FreeMIDI and OMS did the same thing. This would be a huge time saver for anyone starting up on a new system, using multiple computers, using computers in different configurations (home studio, studio, live, etc.). Such a basic and long standing resource as Audio MIDI Setup is part of the reason MIDI is so easy on a Mac. A huge waste of time for the user having to redundantly recreate this information in Studio One.
