I don't just mix, i also produce in Studio one..  And i would love a global swing/groove option.

(and per channel amount of swing or something in this area, would be a cool extra)

Think in terms of Renoise, Reason i think FL studio also has this.

I am aware of the quantize groove templates its nice for sure, but this does not satisfy me, i want to be in the total groove flow when im jamming for ideas.

Studio one has the fastest workflow but this would make it really the best. wink

Yeah, Reason shuffle and ReGroove mixer is indeed very interesting. The interesting point is that you can use these settings among multiple instruments, patterns, etc. and change it at any time.

I think there are two kinds of groove quantization / changing techniques: destructive, non destructive

There is also push / pull, etc. (time nudging)

Without a Groove function, it renders Studio One useless to me. Because I absolutely need to be able to control the groove/swing of the tempo and ALL instruments coherently, if not then the music will sound stagnant and robotic.

For this reason, I use Reason, Akai Drum Machines and Pro Tools.

But I adore Studio One, and would immediately buy it, if it had a ReGroove/Swing feature...similar to, or exactly like the feature in Propellerheads Reason, which emulates Akai MPC drum machines, and enables the swing to control the play timing of ALL instruments, as a whole, or even independently.

Groove Swing can make or break a song in Hip-hop, pop, and Funk genres.  Although MANY producers do NOT know this, the swing is what makes people feel compelled to dance.

Many amateur producers try to imitate Dr. Dre's music, by making their own versions of his instrumentals, but their songs are stagnant and static.

It would be so wise for PreSonus to realize this, and implement Groove / Swing into their next update.

It would also be great to have independent swing/groove to the lanes in pattern mode.

ReGroove Mixer in Reason is just the best. I used it for about 10 years. I totally miss it. I bought Studio One ... and always look back to that feature in Reason. It's so much more work in S1. Please Presonus ... please
