Add note to C in ledger line

There is this an annoying behavior in Notion 5, possibly previous versions as well, where I can'y add a note below E in the ledger line in the piano bass cleft/stave. I have to add it to E and then do back and drag it down to C. It will work once I do that for a couple measures then go back to not allowing me to place a note on C.

When I attempt to place a note on C the cursor is grayed out and will not place a note if I click.

Has anyone else had this issue, did you resolve it?

I am running Notion 5.2.381 64-bit on Mac OS X 10.11.4 on a Late 2012 Mac Mini with 8 gig of RAM

thanks,

Tyson

Hi Tyson,

yes this is the workaround that you've outlined above. It's not necessarily a bug - it's a layout and spacing necessity. If the staves were further apart to allow any ledger line notes above/below as default, then there'd be a lot more white space between staves and systems.
