Question

I can't create a groove without having control of when to close an open Hi Hat, in order to create a syncopated effect.

When you hit the closed Hi-Hat, it's supposed to cancel any open Hi-hat that is currently playing.  This used to be fine until the update. Need a fix ASAP

I completely agree. I haven't worked on music for a while and have now stopped using Studio One 3 because the drum hi hats don't cancel each other out. The problem applies to both drum kits PreSonus supplied in their soundsets, and soundfont files that have the closed, foot and open hi hats in the same "group", or as Polyphone calls it "exclusive class".
