The current release, v1.3, of the AudioBox VSL drivers for Mac and PC contain a firmware upgrade for the 1818VSL.
The Muse Receptor Qu4ttro and Trio, which ship with the AudioBox 1818VSL, will not work with the 1818VSL once it has been connected to a computer and updated with the new firmware. To reconnect the 1818VSL to the Receptor will require downgrading to the previous firmware.

Please follow these instructions for downgrading the firmware
OS X:
- Quit the AudioBox VSL application if it is running
- Locate the AudioBox VSL application in the Applications folder and move it to the Trash
- Download and install AudioBox VSL 1.2 -> http://www.presonus.com/products/AudioBox-1818VSL/downloads
- After rebooting your Mac, launch the AudioBox VSL from the Applications folder.
- You will be prompted to update the 1818's firmware. This will load the older firmware on device. Once this is complete your AudioBox 1818VSL will be ready to connect to your Receptor.
Windows:
- Power off your 1818VSL.
- Open C:\Program Files\PreSonus\Audiobox (or ..\AudioBox VSL).
- Run the "Uninstall" file and complete the uninstall wizard. Next, run the "unins000" file and complete the onscreen wizard.
- Download and install AudioBox VSL 1.2 -> http://www.presonus.com/products/AudioBox-1818VSL/downloads
- Power on the 1818VSL when prompted to do so by the installation wizard.
- After rebooting your computer, allow any 'Found New Hardware' wizards to complete and then launch the AudioBox VSL application.
- You will be prompted to update the 1818's firmware. This will load the older firmware on device. Once this is complete your AudioBox 1818VSL will be ready to connect to your Receptor.
