I am using a windows 10 device, if it helps. I am trying to record a song with several instrument parts that i record separately, then edit the instruments so they don't get in each other's way, then record a vocal part over the edited final instrument track. right now the bass is not loud enough (nor has enough bass) and the guitar has too much treble so I would like to be able to adjust those levels on the track and cant figure out how. I am completely new at this.

What I would do is use a stock EQ plug-in on each track. You can shape the sound of the instruments like rolling off the lows on the hi hat. You can add more lows to the bass but not too much or it will sound muddy. I don't know what kind of monitor speakers you have or headphones but just adjust carefully. Hope this helps.
