How can I safe my studio one session when its says "too many files are open"?

I have a 2008 macbook with a processor of 2.4 Ghz intel core 2 dou, 2 GB memory, and Mac OS X version 10.6.8.

I'm using version studio one 2.

Presonus studio live 24.4.2 with firmware version 1.0 build 195
