I don't know if I can say that we recommend it, but we certainly support putting the mixer somewhere and remote mixing from an iPad. That's one of the reasons we implemented the ability to mix from an iPad: We understand that your StudioLive console isn't always going to be at the perfect FOH spot. Sometimes it's going to be side stage, in a quiet room in the back of the church, behind the bar - you name it.So it's definitely possible and supported. Now, you're going to want to make sure that your router isn't too blocked off so that you don't have connection/dropout issues with your iPad.
