Per just about every known human interface guideline out there, indirect menu actions (those that go through an intermediate step, such as a dialog window requiring an additional user choice or action) should be titled with an trailing ellipsis. I'd like to request that the 'Insert Silence' and 'Delete Time' items present in the Edit menu be re-named 'Insert Silence...' and 'Delete Time...', respectively, to more accurately indicate that the action does not take place immediately upon selection of the menu item, but will instead display a dialog window in which the user must specify the start and end times of the range to be acted upon.

As a general observation, those functions also work directly, without opening any dialog.   It depends on what's selected at the time and how.
