Delete Time (and Insert Silence) work great on Ranges. Sometimes I already have an Event that is the exact size I want for the Delete Time.

Delete Time (and Insert Silence) should both work on an Event, and be treated as if it's a Range, without the extra step of manually converting the Event to a Range. IF an Event is selected, please just delete the time from the start to the end of the Event.

DETAILS:
Delete Time won't work on an Event unless I select "Edit > Create Ranges On Track" (or use a macro to do that). If I want to manually select the Range that exactly matches an Event, that is more difficult because the starting point can't be started right on an Event seam. (The mouse cursor changes to manipulate the seam...) I can drag most of it, then adjust the ends of the selection, and get it to match the seam, but depending on my snap mode, it's tough to get perfect.

Please internally convert the Event(s) to a range before Delete Time or Insert Silence.
