Question

I am running sound for an event.  A church choir wants to run their own mics using  their own mixer.   My plan is to plug their mixer into my 24.4.2 and control the monitors/house from the 24.4.2.

Is the 24.4.2 aux in (1/4" balanced) the best place to input their mixer??

Yes - if no special signal is needed in the monitors. Choir often means that an electric piano is in the "package". You have to think before how to deal with it (PA and monitoring). Also soloists might need to be considered. But if it is just the choir's microphones, using an Aux In is a perfect solution.
