Question

I have  Fader port and I am wondering what is the best way to  when mixing save a scene at a particular segmant of the mix.

Write, Latch or Touch.

For example to keep it short. I have 4 channels recorded

at 0.00.00 in the mix, the start- I want  the first 3 channels muted and only channel 4 up in the mix AT VOLUME SET

at 0.05.25 I stop the mix and want all mutes to come of the 3 first channels-- do i just make the adjusted settings at this point and hit write thus creating the 2nd scene in the mix

at   0.10.09  I want to kick in the reverb on channel 3 only do I stop here and hit write thus creating a 3rd scnene in the mix/

etc.... AND  then ON CONTINUED AS I wish.

Also lets say I want to go back and edit scene to and overwrite something can I do this??

Studio One's scenes are currently (up to 3.3.4) for track or console channel visibility only, they do not include automation or any other channel parameters or settings like gain, pan, etc.  That may change in a later version, or not.  But sure, you can use automation to automate settings, but they're not technically scenes, just automation changes at different parts of a mix.

With Studio One 3 Professional's Scratch Pad feature you can however write different automation setups in the same section by saving each different setup to a new Scratch Pad.  Switching them will be manual, dragging a Scratch Pad back into arrange to "recall" one particular collection of settings or automation changes back for a given song section.
