i understand the only way to tell which firmware is installed is to find my old bill of purchase out of my drawers?

What about the Usb audio driver? Is this normal or should i see a faderport/Presonus specific driver installed.

im asking all this because lately faderport at times does not show up in device manager and is unusable unless i do a complete reboot. I would like to make sure of these details to narrow the issue.

Thanks

FaderPort is a class compliant MIDI Device. Windows will display Class Compliant USB MIDI Devices under the Class Audio Device descriptor in Device Manager because Microsoft considers MIDI devices to be MultiMedia (Audio / Video / MIDI) type of device.

Unlike Mac OS X which will properly display the FaderPort in Audio MIDI Setup as a MIDI device.
