hi,

i would like to run my microphones through the audiobox preamp, out through Adat out into a Digidesign 96 i/o and from there into protools. so far no success, so i was wondering if and how that could be done.

also, could i run the signals from the preamp through the analog outputs directly?

thanks

The AudioBox 1818VSL cannot be used as a stand alone Mic Pre A/D Converter. It must be used while connected to a computer as the resident audio interface.

However if you want to use the 1818VSL on a computer as a complete system you would need to use a DAW such as Studio One to route your signals from In to Out, then run the ADAT Out from the 1818VSL to the 96 i/o that is connected to another computer. You would need to make the 1818VSL the clock master by running a Word Clock cable from the 1818VSL to the 96 i/o and make it slave to the 1818VSL as clock master.
