When a track is right clicked and you choose "Duplicate Track (complete)", the newly created track should include all automation from the copied track. Would make things much easier when using layers to construct a single synth or drum part.
closed with the note: Duplicate now includes automation

Isn't the real issue: Automation isn't automatically written to automation lanes anymore, but to automation tracks which - unlike lanes - are not part of the track that is completely duplicated and therefor not taken along with the duplication?

In other words: As soon as you use automation lanes instead of tracks, they are duplicated along with the track when Duplicate Track (Complete) is used.

There's a FR to bring back the old automation lanes behavior, which might be worth voting on: Please Make Recording Automation Easy Again if you rather use automation lanes over automation tracks by default.

But it already does that, as long as the automation tracks aren't separated from the track.
