Baiscally, I recorded a bassline live and am looping it over the guitar. I keep getting this double pick/strum on the bass when I put the two tracks next to each other, and no amount of crossfade really gets rid of it, unless I am not using a crossfade correctly. Are there any god tips or tricks to it? I tried to zoom in a lot and align the waveforms so the troughs and peaks aligned but it is very difficult as that would make the track slightly off beat. I am using Presonus studio one 3.2.3 free on a windows 10 laptop. Thanks!

You'll just have to dig in and edit.  Try using the audition tool (the tool with the speaker icon) to click and try to locate a good edit point for the trim.   After you get it correctly trimmed use the range tool to bounce a range that exactly fits the grid or turn it into an audio part so that you can snap it's edge to the grid.
