AudioBox USB

Bias FX (Version 1.4.3)  with Reaper for DAW

I'm using a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter to plug my Bose speakers into the headphone jack on the back.

I'm trying to play my electric through Bias FX and I'm having trouble getting the program to utilize the AudioBox. When I plug my AudioBox into my PC and turn the knob all the way to input, i can hear my guitar cleanly. The trouble is when i turn the knob towards playback or try to use my guitar through Bias, I either get a horrible distorted noise or no noise at all. This COULD be an issue with Bias but I wanted to know if anyone has had a similar issue.
