Just wondered if anybody has come across this problem yet. After updating to V3.5 I have been having problems with the new zero latency mode. For example, when using an amp sim in a project it worked fine at first, but I started having a problem with a reverb plugin when tracking guitars (frozen mix knob only in Z) so I turned off Z mode and returned the project to a standard 256 buffer. However, now monitoring will not work at all. With Z mode it works, but normal monitoring does not pass audio.

It seems to happen in a project and I can't revert it. If I open a new project and drag in the same plugin is works fine and I can monitor both normally and via Z mode. It seems that Z mode can suddenly stop normal mode functioning at random. Very wierd,.

If you want Studio One to function the way that it used to, you will want to go into Studio One>Options>Audio Setup and set your Dropout Protection to "minimum."  You can also disable any low latency options under the "Processing" tab that are not grayed out.  If you do this, you will want to make sure that your Device Block Size is set back to 256 or what you were working at.

If this issue is only happening in a particular song, you may want to go into Documents>Studio One>Songs>Your Song Name and delete the "cache" folder.  Do this with S1 closed and the re-open your file to test with.

If you run into a situation in which your .song file is corrupt, you may want to export your work to stems and rebuild in a new song file.

You may want to try going into Studio One>Options>Advanced>Settings and disable any 3rd-party plug-in services that are not applicable to this problem.  See if you can identify a service or plug-in that is causing the issue outside of the 2 that you mentioned.

For general troubleshooting, please try removing your settings files from the program.  Here are instructions:

1.  Go to Help>Open Settings folder.

2.  Copy the contents of the folder over to a folder on your desktop.

3.  Close S1 and delete the contents of the settings folder with the exception of the user.license file as well as the "Extensions" folder.

4.  Open S1 and go to Studio One>Options (Preferences on a Mac) to reconfigure your settings.

5.  Test to see if the problem is resolved.  If it is not, please feel free to copy your settings files back over from the backup that you created in step 2.

*If you are missing presets or Sound Sets after doing this, simply double-click one of your Sound Sets under Documents>Studio One>Sound Sets.

Finally, you may want to try uninstalling and re-installing Studio One.
