I currently own a Studio 192 and love the Fat Channel integration.

Currently I do my recording monitoring through the fat channel on the 192 and record into S1 without printing it. I then use the Fat Channel in S1 in the Linked mode so all the software settings always mirror the hardware settings on the Studio 192 making punch punching in possible.  Does the Studio Live family of mixers follow this same workflow in the studio?

I notice that in S1 3.5 there is a choice for the Studio Live MKIII 32 there. I assume that this would be the same driver for the 24&16?

Yes, that's correct. Same type of integration with the Series III, AI, and 192 interfaces. Which all feature hardware DSP (Fat Channel) via UC Surface.
