Question

I made a score in which one of the instruments only comes in for 8 measures in the middle of the piece. I chose "hide resting staves" for all the systems that did not have this instrument. The program hid all except for the system above the system where the new instrument came in.  That system had an entire empty staff taking up space. I thought it was a bug but was told by tech support that it is meant to be that way so the conductor knows the new instrument is coming.  Fine for scores that will be lead by a conductor but this score is for 4 friends playing together, no conductor, and we don't want more pages to turn than necessary. Give the user a choice here. Not all scores are for orchestras.
